Katie’s family roots run deep in Lenawee County. Although she doesn’t have any biological children, Katie has been blessed with many nieces, nephews, godchildren, and confirmed youth that she has sponsored. Through her work with the Americorps and other volunteer opportunities, she has traveled around much of the United States.

Her free time consists of working on her certification for youth ministry and activities as an associate of the Adrian Dominican Sisters. She greatly enjoys her ministry with the youth of Holy Family, especially how she is continually learning from them and is able to watch them continue to grow in their faith. The highlight of her year is watching the youth receive their first Reconciliations, first Communions, and the Sacrament of Confirmation.
