Hometown Healing with Maria Jaimez
In this episode of the Open Seat podcast, we welcome Maria Jaimez, affectionately known as the godmother of Adrian. Maria shares her journey of faith, rooted in her upbringing in Adrian's Sunnyside area and heavily influenced by her mother's strong spirituality and the Hispanic community. She speaks candidly about her life's mission to bring people to the power of the Holy Spirit and building the church for Jesus here in Adrian and beyond. Maria recounts her involvement in various forms of ministry, including working with migrant communities, teaching English as a Second Language, supporting Cesar Chavez's farm worker movement, and organizing Cursillo weekends - and so much more. Despite physical limitations today, Maria continues her ministry from her home, highlighting her unyielding commitment to serving her community and embodying the love of Christ.
